Time Flies!

I cannot believe that we are already approaching spring break! It feels like it was just yesterday that I was moving back on campus, preparing myself for the semester. Now, here we are, entering week seven. I would be lying if I said that I am not terrified of how fast the weeks have flown by. As each week comes to an end and a new one begins, the reality of graduating in a few months becomes more real.

Although I have enjoyed every moment throughout the past month and a half of being back on campus, I am excited for the week-long break. Now, unlike some of my college friends, I don't have any extravagant plans to travel to a warmer destination. Instead, I'll be traveling home (still in Ohio) to spend my week with family and friends. Honestly, I'd much rather prefer this type of break than going on a little vacation somewhere. It will be good to head back home because I haven't seen my family since moving back to campus at the start of the semester. Although I've missed my family tremendously, but just between you and I, I've missed my dog more. Not only am I thrilled to be with family, but I am also ecstatic to finally be able to hang out with my friends from high school. There's only so much you can get out of FaceTiming every other week, so being in each other's company will be delightful.

Besides being excited to see friends and family, I am also looking forward to having a break from classes and assignments. Although I know there will be work that I could get ahead on while I have the time during the week, let's be honest, I more than likely will not touch my bookbag once I toss it the second I arrive home until I'm packing my bags at the end of the break to come back to campus. I want to soak up every moment while at home because, in the long run, my family and friends are what I value the most in my life. It's because of my friends and family that I am the person that I am today. They have always believed in me even when I'm incapable of believing in myself. So, instead of stressing about schoolwork during the break, I will enjoy the time that I am fortunate enough to share with loved ones.

  1. Spring break can't come soon enough! I also can't wait to see my dogs and my family. While I love my friends at college, it's nice to reconnect with everyone over break. Not to mention the break from assignments is definitely a bonus!

  2. I agree with you -- the semester really has flown by! I do not like we are far enough into the semester fro midterms, yet here we are. It is such a bittersweet time of year because we are excited for a break, yet sad that the clock is ticking on our time in college. I hope you have an amazing spring break!

  3. I am so excited for spring break! I don't know what it is about this semester for me, but it has felt like 5 months rather than 2 and a half. I'm glad you get to go home to your family and friend though! I also will probably not touch my bookbag during break...
