What A Weekend It's Been!
This past weekend has been filled with so much joy. From having a Galentine's party with my sorority sisters to having a good friend come up and visit, there was never a dull moment.
On Friday, the crazy weekend was just beginning. It all started that evening when I went to a Galentine's party hosted by my sorority. This party was so much fun despite the fact that it was only about two hours long. We had snacks consisting of sweets and chocolate-covered strawberries while listening to early 2000s pop music throwbacks. We also painted small canvas bags and took many photos with cute backdrops. After the party, I went out to eat with my friend who had come to visit and my roommate. After dinner, we painted canvas, but there was a twist. Instead of each one of us painting our own canvas, we decided to trade our canvases every fifteen minutes. Although our paintings may not have been perfect to anyone else at first glance, they were in our eyes because we each made up a part of each one. Our paintings also had us laughing so hard throughout the evening.
On Saturday, I started my day off at the gym and then kept busy with my roommate and friend for the rest of the day. We decided that we were going to spend the day up in Findley. We started off our day by going to a locally owned ceramic place. We each picked out our own pieces and spent a few hours painting. Next, we went to Hobby Lobby. This may not have been the wisest decision because we all are suckers for crafts. After our little shopping spree, we needed to refuel, so we went to Buffalo Wild Wings. Lastly, we finished our evening playing mini canvas bags and playing Uno with giant cards. We are very competitive people when it comes to Uno, so some friendships were put to the test that evening.
On Sunday, I began my day once again at the gym and then spent the afternoon with my dear friend before she had to travel back home. After the previous night, you would think that we've had enough of Uno after playing for hours, but no, we wanted redemption. We also played a game called "Who's Most Likely To..." We were laughing so hard while playing this game that our stomachs began to hurt. Unfortunately, we had to say goodbye to our friend in the afternoon.
Although the weekend has come to an end, I am very thankful for all the memories that were made in such a short amount of time. I don't think that I have laughed as hard as I did in such a long time.
Galentine's is the best holiday to exist! This sounds like so much fun, and who doesn't love a good sweet treat to celebrate. I feel you on the dangers of a Hobby Lobby trip. Even if I go in looking for specific items I always walk away with far more.
ReplyDeleteWow, it sounds like you had quite a busy weekend, and Galentine's was just the start of it! I am so glad you were able to have a fun weekend spending time with some of your closest friends. Sometimes we need a weekend to relax and forget about the stress of classes.
